Art and design collective Oost-C presents itself at Carte Blanche. An immersive exhibition where design and art meet. Where disciplines blur and separate elements come together in an ever changing composition.
This year Oost-C presents itself in the large theater of Carte Blanche on Sectie-C. A larger than life exhibition where design and art meet. Where disciplines blur and separate elements come together in one ‘gesamtkunstwerk’.
The exhibition is not static. The composition of the objects is changed throughout the Dutch Design Week, creating a completely new image each day. These changes are recorded both live (in their movement) and at fixed moments (as still lifes) by photographer Lisa Klappe.
Studio Speciaal, the only design studio within Oost-C, takes the lead and curates the exhibition. The exhibition features work by artists Gijs van Bon, Tijs Rooijakkers and Frits Achten. In this exhibition Studio Speciaal will also present their new furniture collection to the public for the first time. This furniture collection is presented in an unusual setting and becomes alienated from reality by the objects around it.
