Project Description
Nowadays, a wide variety of activities take place in homes. This project aims at creating indoor textiles that adapt to different functions to offer space and material saving solutions and bring more playfulness to the interior. Five transformable textile objects were designed for different functions in a room: a teapot cover/tablecloth, a coaster/napkin, a room divider/mattress, a chair cover/blanket and a cushion/sleeping bag. Produced using jacquard weaving techniques, these textiles’ strong visual and tactile features also stimulate the user’s senses when manipulating the objects.
